Ascension Christian Preschool

We are a non-profit Christian organization, licensed by the State of California. We are dedicated to every child; encouraging them to grow spiritually, academically, physically, emotionally, and socially. Our school has a loving atmosphere for children ages 2- 5 years old. We offer pre-school classes, pre-kindergarten classes, extended full-time daycare and part-time daycare hours. Ascension Christian Preschool admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin. Ascension Christian Preschool has been an outreach ministry of Lutheran Church of the Ascension since August 1982. Our program extended to include daycare as the needs of our families and community changed in 1988. We pride ourselves in a true family atmosphere where children are our first priority. We are located in a quiet neighborhood setting only two blocks from I-80. Our strength is in our faith and our staff, who all have a great love of children!  

 

We are a play based preschool and strongly believe children learn best through play. Our goal is to create a positive and impactful preschool experience that will help children develop not only their large motor skills, imagination, engineering and problem solving, but also social skills based on Christian values. We believe that these skills will help foster strong and healthy relationships now and as they grow older. Our desire is to teach the children about God’s love and to give them the opportunity to discover, experiment, and explore their world and own unique gifts which will result in happy children growing at their own rate in their individual manners.
